University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences Brno

University of Finance and Administration

The university has been providing education to its students since 1999. It is one of three private universities in the Czech Republic. The study programmes offer several career paths to follow: economic, legal and administrative programmes are available.

The university study centers are located in Prague, Most and Karlovy Vary, though Prague should be the most likely choice for international students. There have been more than 17 000 graduates to date, with almost 4 000 students attending annually.

Nobody will feel lost here – the university is proud to host a very diverse and multi-cultural attendance with students from 56 countries of the world.

University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences Brno

The history of the university dates back to 1918, when the Veterinary University in Brno was founded. In 1920 a special faculty for Veterinary Hygiene split to deal with increasing demand for food safety specialists. The Faculty of Pharmacy was formed in 1991.

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine is the largest of the three faculties.

The students can become regular private veterinaries or specialists in veterinary science laboratories.

Prague has been a political, cultural and economic centre of central Europe complete with a rich history. Founded during the Romanesque and flourishing by the Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque eras, Prague was the capital of the Kingdom of Bohemia and the main residence of several Holy Roman Emperors, most notably of Charles IV (r. 1346–1378).
Prague is home to a number of famous cultural attractions, many of which survived the violence and destruction of 20th-century Europe. Main attractions include Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, Old Town Square with the Prague astronomical clock, the Jewish Quarter, Petřín hill and Vyšehrad. Since 1992, the extensive historic centre of Prague has been included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.

Brno

Brno is the second largest city in the Czech Republic by population and area, the largest Moravian city, and the historical capital city of the Margraviate of Moravia. The city lies at the confluence of the Svitava and Svratka rivers and has about 400,000 inhabitants.
Brno is the seat of judicial authority of the Czech Republic – it is the seat of the Constitutional Court, the Supreme Court, the Supreme Administrative Court, and the Supreme Public Prosecutor’s Office. The city is also a significant administrative centre. Brno is also an important centre of higher education, with 33 faculties belonging to 13 institutes of higher learning and about 89,000 students.
